Mandi Gilliland Owner/Director
Mandi has been dancing since the age of 5. She danced for 14 years as a top competitor and taught dance, gymnastics and tumbling for 13+ years in the North Pittsburgh, PA area. Among winning numerous awards for group dances and solos, Mandi was part of the group nominated for the World Showcase dance team.
She has successfully passed grade 4-7 in ballet, studying under the Royal Academy of Dance curriculum. As an active member of Dance Masters of America's FL Chapter, she is certified to teach by test in tap, ballet, jazz and acrobatics. She currently holds the position of Vice President of the Dance Masters of Florida Chapter.
Along with attending numerous continuing education workshops such as Cicci Convention and The Movement Workshop, a workshop with dancers from previous seasons of “So You Think You Can Dance”, Mandi has also attended USAG Congress where she received her safety certification and 3 years of Dance Masters of America's Teacher Training School.
Her students have competed in numerous regional and national dance and pageant competitions such as; Extreme Talent, Starpower, Turn it Up and Dance Masters of America. Mandi has owned and directed Mandi's Dance Studio, located in Butler, PA, since 2012.
Mandi graduated from Butler County Community College with an Associate’s degree in Architecture in 2009 and graduated in 2012 with a Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design from La Roche University. Along with teaching dance, Mandi also works as an Interior Architect for Gensler in Tampa, as well as helping others with their fitness goals as a Beachbody's coach.
She resides in the Tampa area with her husband, Trent, and their cats, Taffy and Luna.
MDS is excited to welcome our new Studio Director, Miss Meagan! Meagan brings over 18+ years’ experience in studio directing, choreography, and mentoring. She has trained and choreographed overall winning routines and title winners. Her students have competed in regional and national competitions such as; Groove, Ticket to Broadway, Dance Makers Inc, Starquest, and Dance Masters of America.
Meagan trained as a top competitor locally in Butler, PA training in tap, ballet, jazz, acrobatics, and Cecchetti. As a student, Meagan tested and successfully passed grades I-IV in the Cecchetti method. She has completed level 1-4 of Dance Masters of America’s Teacher Training School program and is an active member of Dance Masters of PA Chapter 10. She is certified to teach by test in Tap, Ballet, Jazz, and Modern. Meagan holds a Bachelor’s Degree in English Professional Writing and a Minor in Dance from Slippery Rock University.
Meagan is ready to take MDS to the next level! She resides in the Butler Area with her husband Jonnie, and their children Parker, Keaton, Kingston, Jax, Zac, and Cole.
Caroline has been dancing for 18 years and has experience choreographing, teaching, and directing a dance company. She has choreographed and led Grove City College's Spring Dance Company, Orchesis dance troupe, and musical productions for the theater department.
She trained and competed at two different studios in Western PA as well as dancing as a demi soloist for the Oil Region Ballet Company for three years. She has been trained in ballet, jazz, tap, musical theater, contemporary, and, most recently, ballroom.
She has a Bachelor's degree in Marketing from Grove City College and a minor in theater. She lives in Grove City, PA and works at Butler First United Methodist Church as well. A fun fact about Caroline is that she comes from a large family of 7 kids!
Elisabeth studied Cecchetti ballet for 12+ years in the Michigan area, and has been teaching ballet and Cecchetti since 2008. As a student, she tested and successfully passed grades I-V. She currently holds her Cecchetti teacher certification in Grade I, and continues her teacher training locally.
Elisabeth holds a Bachelor’s in Liberal Arts from Thomas More College. She resides the in Mars area with her husband Robert and their daughter Rosemarie.
Welcome Erin as MDS’ newest Hip Hop and Tap instructor! Erin has over 8+ years teaching multiple subjects of dance. She has extensive dance training in all subjects of dance from a local studio in Gibsonia, studying directly under our director Meagan! Upon completing years 1-4 of Dance Masters of America’s Teacher Training School, Erin is a certified instructor by test in Tap, Ballet, Jazz and Modern.
Erin resides in the Gibsonia area with her husband Shane and puppy Bandit.
